Sadovo municipality is situated in the central part of Tracial valley. The total area is 192 856 dsa. The number of the population is 16 946 people. There are 12 locations. The town of Sadovo is the municipal center and there are included the following villages: Cheshnigirovo, Ahmatovo, Bogdanitza, Bolyartzi, Karadjovo, Katunitza, Kochovo, Mominsko, Popovitza, Seltzi and Hristo Milevo. Companies with variety of productions are situated on the territory of the municipality.

The agriculture and stock-breeding is well- developed. On the territory of the municipality is the biggest stock- breeding farm in South- Bulgaria. Also here is situated the biggest farm for remaking of cherries and plums. Tourism is not so well developed although the key situation of the municipality.
In the town of Sadovo is located the Institute for plant- genetic resources focused on research technologies in the production of new cereals.
The unemployment of the municipality is 19 %. There are cultural and community centers in each of the locations.
